HONG KONG INTERNATIONAL TURF CHAMPIONSHIPS 2008
The Hong Kong International Races is an event run annually in mid-December at Sha Tin Racecourse consisting of the four most prestigious Group One Turf horse races in Hong Kong which is hosted by the Hong Kong Jockey Club:
1) The Hong Kong Cup (2000M)
2) The Hong Kong Mile (1600M)
3) The Hong Kong Vase (2400M)
4) The Hong Kong Sprint (1200M)
In 2008, the best horses from around the world converged on Hong Kong to take a crack at the rich prize money in the four top-class races for the Hong Kong International Turf World Championships. Horses are shown arriving by plane and being lead off the ramps en-route to Sha Tin Racecourse to take a spin on the track to get a feel for it. Ample footage is shown of horses training on the track and getting acquainted with their new surroundings.
